New England Pastels
was created by two friends who wanted to convey their excitement and enthusiasm for painting the landscape of New England with pastels.
Working in the colorist tradition of pastel, Kitty Cloud and Jerre Moriarty have painted throughout Cape Cod, Southern New Hampshire, and the coast of Maine.
For over a decade, Cloud and Moriarty have found, in the pure pigment of pastel, a uniquely suited medium for capturing the brilliant colors and changing lights that define New England in all seasons.
